Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jerry developed a great passion for ice hockey at a young age. At the age of 13, he left home to begin his journey at Shattuck St. Mary’s School in Minnesota. It was there where Jerry spent his high school years and began to understand the value of sports performance. Being surrounded by some of the most skilled players in the world, he quickly realized that talent can only be beaten with a relentless work ethic and off-ice strength & conditioning. As a hockey player, Jerry achieved success at all levels, including: Tier 1 Major, Juniors, NCAA and Professional. When his career as an athlete came to an end, he made the natural progression to coaching on and off the ice.
As a coach in ice hockey, Jerry coached several youth teams of all ages and due to his passionate style of coaching he developed a following in the Bay Area. He is the co-founder of a development program, Bay Area Blazers, an organization dedicated to constructing young athletes in ice hockey, and was an Assistant Coach/Strength Coach for Bemidji State University Men's Ice Hockey (NCAAI). Having a parallel passion for sports performance, he also became a Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach. His client list has a broad range from young elite athletes to retired senior citizens, and he has developed lifelong relationships with them along the way. His intuitive sense, methodical approach, caring personality, and intensity make him unique in coaching. Having the experience as an athlete at the professional level and the education background in Strength & Conditioning makes him well-rounded for the purposes of helping anybody achieve his or her personal goals with the right mindset.
